ABB uses SYNTHESIS with their new Common Design System
May 2001

ABB selects AutoCAD automation software from SYNTHESIS for deployment for ABB's new Common Design System for its Power Transmission and Distribution divisions 33 offices worldwide.

The SYNTHESIS Company makes an advanced parametric software used to generate new AutoCAD drawings automatically. SYNTHESIS Release 16 automated design software was chosen by ABB (165,000 employees) over all other AutoCAD parametric options due to its advanced capabilities and flexibility when compared to the other parametric software programs available.

ABB has begun deployment of SYNTHESIS based automated drawing creation for their new standardized manufacturing information software. SYNTHESIS is projected to be used in 33 different manufacturing facilities worldwide. The Common Design System (CDS) will be generating new electrical transformer manufacturing drawings, automatically, based on ABB global company standards.

SYNTHESIS Release 16 also allows users to generate AutoCAD format drawings automatically from Internet web sites.
